What this website does
Eighth Count is a single advertising page about the Derila Ergo pillow with a few linked pages of legal information. It has no accounts, no forms and no comment sections. We do not ask you for your name, e-mail address or any other details anywhere on this site.
Data we process
- Server logs. When you open a page, the hosting provider that serves this site records the technical details every web server records: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser and operating system, and the page you came from. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure. They are kept for no longer than the hosting provider's standard retention period and are not combined with any other data.
- Fonts. The typeface on this site is loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore sends a request, including your IP address, to Google's servers when the page loads. Google's privacy policy applies to that request.
- Cookies. This site does not set cookies of its own and does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Links to the seller
The buttons on this site lead to the seller's website (get-derila-ergo.com), which is operated by Derila, not by us. The link contains technical parameters that tell the seller this visit came from our advertisement, so that a purchase can be attributed to us for the commission described in our terms and advertising disclosure. No personal data about you is included in those parameters. Once you are on the seller's site, the seller's own privacy policy applies to everything you enter there, including any order.
Legal basis
We process server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The font request to Google is made on the same basis, to display the page as designed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to our processing, or ask for a copy of it. Because this site collects almost nothing, in most cases the honest answer will be that we hold no data that can be linked to you. Write to info@makesharpstuff.com and we will answer within a month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the supervisory authority in your own country.
Changes
If we add anything to this site that changes how data is handled, for example measurement code from an advertising network, we will update this policy and the date at the top before it goes live.
